BC’s colleges offer more than 250 different academic, trades, career, technical and skills programs in over 60 campuses and learning centres in every region of the province. This close-to-home learning is linked directly to the needs of BC’s labour market. The result? Greater student success, lower costs and fiscally and socially vibrant communities since graduates are more likely to stay and work where they’ve studied.
Government can help support regional prosperity through strategic and sustained funding to BC’s colleges, This funding will increase access and affordability especially for displaced workers, immigrants, Aboriginal learners and other underrepresented groups. Which will in turn maximize their workforce participation.
