Langara Mental Health Initiatives Lead up to Bell Let’s Talk Day 2019 Tag: Langara College

In a collaboration between Student Engagement, Athletics, People and Culture, and Mental Health Initiatives, the college will run an on-campus event that will include activities, contests, and resources tailored to educating students and employees about mental health.

Langara students in Environmental Studies, Nursing, and Marketing were awarded top prizes at CityStudio Vancouver's HUBBUB #11. The event showcased twenty-four experimental projects created by students together with the City of Vancouver to address key city goals and challenges.

Langara College and Zhuhai Municipal Education Bureau Sign MOU to Support Teacher Training Tag: Langara College

Langara College and the Zhuhai Municipal Education Bureau signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) towards the goal of providing teachers and students with excellent education and training. Under the agreement, Langara intends to work with its Chinese strategic partner, Guangdon AQG Education Consulting, to develop and deliver customized training programs for teachers in Zhuhai.

Langara College Launches Mental Health Framework and Signs Okanagan Charter Tag: Langara College

At a ceremony held on campus today, Langara College became the first college in British Columbia to sign on to the Okanagan Charter. The Charter calls on post-secondary institutions to embed health into all aspects of campus culture for students, staff, and faculty. Over 20 universities and colleges across Canada have signed the Charter to promote action and collaboration, locally and globally.
