Skilled Trades Awareness and Readiness Program

SkillPlanOverall, current Essential Skills professional development opportunities, tools and resources do no provide enough support for pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship instructors to have sufficient in depth knowledge to truly understand the cognitive functions of their learners relative to programming in order to properly design and deliver ES training with pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programming. This ultimately creates issues for many learners, especially from under-represented groups, to successfully enter and/or succeed in technical trades training.
