Skilled Workforce
By 2029, the largest demand — 41 per cent of all job openings — will be in occupations like healthcare, hospitality, business administration, sales, construction, shipbuilding, transportation, new technologies, and accounting - positions that require college or trade education credentials.
Approximately 7,700 learners transfer annually to BC’s research universities (while 4,076 transfer from universities to colleges).
BC’s colleges are helping to prepare the highly skilled workforce needed to meet the demands of business and industry and to ensure that the province has the vibrant economy British Columbians expect in the years to come.
