Vancouver Community College

For more than 50 years, Vancouver Community College (VCC) has inspired students to reach their career and educational goals by offering post-secondary training in 125 programs including bachelor's degrees, diplomas, certificates and apprenticeships. VCC has three campuses located on Broadway, Downtown and on Annacis Island where students can choose from innovative and experiential learning in culinary arts, business, design, health sciences, hospitality, transportation trades, and music. The college also offers first-year University, academic, English language programs, and developmental education. The college champions a learning environment that maximizes the educational experience by continually improving its resources, technology and facilities. VCC’s many diverse partnerships provide direct connections to industry and community to enhance the relevancy of its programs, and the future success of its graduates. The college is a member of the Coastal Corridor Consortium, which works to improve levels of participation and success for Aboriginal students. VCC’s Aboriginal Education and Services give priority registration opportunities to Aboriginal students who meet the necessary requirements. VCC has a unique student profile compared to other peer institutions: the average age of VCC’s students is 35 and 65% are women. The students come from more than 40 countries and speak more than 30 different languages.
