International Education Week Events at Camosun College

Camosun International invites Camosun faculty, staff, and students to a series of Lunch & Learn sessions that will take place on both campuses during International Education Week (November 14-18, 2016).


Current Camosun international students will share information about their lives and academic experiences at Canadian institutions. They will explore the following topics:

Living in a New Culture
Monday, Nov 14, noon-1pm
Locations: Young 316 (LANS) & TEC 174 (INT)

Pressures and Expectations
Tuesday, Nov 15, noon-1pm
Locations: Young 201 (LANS) & TEC 175 (INT)

Adapting to a Canadian Post-secondary Teaching and Learning Environment
Thursday, Nov 17, noon-1pm
Locations: Young 201 (LANS) & TEC 175 (INT)

Support Services for Students
Friday, Nov 18, noon-1pm
Locations: Wilna Thomas 203 (LANS) & TEC 175 (INT)

The same topic will be explored at each campus during these concurrent sessions, although the content may vary as the student presenters will have different experiences. These Lunch & Learn sessions are meant to be interactive, and there will be opportunities for questions and comments.

All sessions are free, no registration required. Bring your own lunch. Note: there is no session on Wednesday, Nov 16.
