President's Message - Summer 2020
I would like to start by offering my sincerest congratulations to all of our graduates across the province, and from around the globe, for completing their programs, especially during these unprecedented times. Their determination and flexibility are admirable and will serve them well no matter what path they choose in the future.
I also want to acknowledge the hard work of our colleges' executive, faculty, and staff who have worked tirelessly to transition to an online environment while continuing to provide the quality education that our students and communities expect. This includes the implementation of new safety protocols that are in line with all provincial health standards, and ensuring that students, faculty and staff are safe as they return to their work.
The Premier and Provincial Health Officer (PHO) have outlined the Province’s Restart Plan focused on a “new normal”. This plan signals a positive step forward, as we continue to flatten the curve in British Columbia for COVID-19.
As our province begins to rebuild and restart its economic engine, our colleges remain committed to being a key partner and to providing the quality accessible, affordable and applied education required for shared success.
