College of the Rockies invites film enthusiasts, storytellers, photographers looking to evolve to moving image, high school students and anyone with filmmaking aspirations to join them at a documentary filmmaking workshop from July 18 to August 6.
Filmmaking Unleashed: A Documentary Film Workshop is designed to provide participants with the skills and narrative tools needed to make a professional quality film. Students will work with professional equipment and develop a visual story with guidance from a team of international, award-winning professionals. At the conclusion of the three-week program, participants will have developed, shot, edited and processed a festival-ready short documentary.
This exciting workshop will be led by French-American filmmaker and visual artist, Yana Kehrlein. The winner of numerous awards for his unique digital artwork, Kehrlein has had his films shown in festivals across North America.
