Bright futures await graduates from Selkirk College’s School of Hospitality & Tourism and employers from across the province who are eager to meet potential industry stars descended on Nelson’s Tenth Street Campus to get acquainted.

Okanagan College (OC) is opening new spaces for people interested in working in early childhood education, as childcare facilities across the region and British Columbia continue to face staffing challenges. The Early Childhood Education Certificate program starts at OC’s Penticton campus in mid-March and runs through May 2024.

Participating in job interviews can be stressful. For Ahmed Mohsin, who is currently enrolled in Vancouver Community College's (VCC) Automotive Collision and Refinishing program, learning the skills to do the job was one thing. Impressing a potential employer in a job interview was another. He was eager to practice the communications skills that would help him land a job as an auto body technician once he graduates.

Next time you pay a visit to CNC’s Learning Commons (library), take a closer look at the colourful rug on display. The carefully hand-braided fabric creation highlights one of Elsie Osterberg’s passions. CNC students are also benefiting from her other passion: helping others.

A new dedicated university-level pathway at North Island College will help make it easier for students to pursue careers in the medical and health sciences. The Island Pre-Health Science program was developed in response to the growing demand for health science and medical professionals across the region. Applications are open now, with the first intake starting in September.
