Camosun Receives $200,000 Funding from Province to Support Tech Programs
Camosun College has been awarded $200,000 in start-up funding from the provincial Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training to support increased access to web technology and engineering graphics certificate programs. The new funding will allow Camosun to increase the capacity of these programs, adding 40 new spaces by the 2019/20 academic year.
“Victoria has a vibrant, rapidly growing and diverse tech sector,” said Sherri Bell, president of Camosun College. “Students will be thrilled to know that there will be more spaces in tech, so they’re able to get the tech jobs that are in high demand.”
