Over thirty five years’ experience within the private & public sector in the UK and Canada. Trained as an educator, Colin has held leadership positions in recreation, telecommunications, government, and not-for-profit organizations.
As President of BC Colleges his focus is on growing the brand, effective partner relations, and helping Colleges achieve student and community success across British Columbia.

Stephanie DenOtter, Executive Assistant to the President
Stephanie is an administrative professional, and has spent her career supporting presidents, principals and educators in the public-school system. She is a strong believer in the value of applied education, and feels that when given the right support and encouragement, learning can happen for anyone.
When she’s not coordinating, scheduling or organizing, Stephanie can be found curling or enjoying other outdoor activities.
Lori Elder, Marketing Lead - Digital/Online Media
Lori is a communications and marketing professional with over 25 years of experience in the government, corporate and non-profit sectors. For more than a decade, she has been a sought-after presenter at numerous social media conferences and events, including at Canada's largest annual social media conference.
An avid volunteer, Lori currently sits on a number of boards, including the Victoria Foundation’s Board of Directors. She is also Chair of their Community Engagement Granting Committee, and board member responsible for Vital Signs. Lori is passionate about her community, especially helping youth, and her role with BC Colleges provides an important opportunity to help educate students, parents and other stakeholders about the value of studying at a BC College as a pathway to personal and professional success.linkedin.com/in/lorielder/
Erik Hueglin, Director of Strategic Partnerships - SkillPlan
A lifelong learner and passion for education and apprenticeship best describe Erik. His journey with the trades began over 40 years ago in high school which led to his electrical apprenticeship and becoming a Journeyman Electrician. After attending the faculty of education at Queens University and several years of teaching, Erik joined the apprenticeship branch of the IBEW. The pathway to Director of Apprenticeship Training was filled with opportunities to learn and contribute while presenting at the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF), the National Electrical Trade Council (NETCO), and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans. Several years ago, Erik teamed up with SkillPlan to promote student success through essential skills assessments, mentorship, and enhancing pre-apprenticeship and apprentice training tools (EPATT).
