BC's colleges are the most affordable, accessible pathway to post-secondary education in British Columbia. Our association of ten public, post-secondary institutes prepares students to not only meet the workforce demands of today, but provides a strong foundation for a lifetime of personal and career success.

Colin Ewart, President

Coling Ewart

Colin has 30 years’ experience within the private, public, and not-for-profit sector in the UK and Canada. As a trained educator, he has held management positions in the military, recreation, real estate, and charitable sector. Colin is known for his ability to create effective partnerships, and is dedicated to growing student success and college impact across British Columbia.

When he is not volunteering as Board Chair of the Pacific Institute for Sports and Excellence (PISE), you can find Colin on the squash court or cycling around the country roads of the Saanich Peninsula.


Stephanie DenOtter, Executive Assistant to the President

Stephanie DenOtter

Stephanie is an administrative professional, and has spent her career supporting presidents, principals and educators in the public-school system. She is a strong believer in the value of applied education, and feels that when given the right support and encouragement, learning can happen for anyone.

When she’s not coordinating, scheduling or organizing, Stephanie can be found curling or enjoying other outdoor activities.

Lori Elder, Marketing Lead - Digital/Online Media

Lori Elder

Lori is a communications and marketing professional with over 25 years of experience in the government, corporate and non-profit sectors. Over the past 10 years, she has been asked to present at numerous social media events, including at Canada's largest annual Social Media conference.

An avid volunteer, she currently sits on the Victoria Foundation’s Community Engagement Granting Committee, the TLC Fund for Kids Board, and, is the Victoria Community Leader for a social enterprise called Mealshare. Lori is passionate about helping youth, and her role with BC Colleges provides an important opportunity to help educate students, parents and other stakeholders about the value of studying at a BC College as a pathway to personal and professional success.
