BC's colleges are the most affordable, accessible pathway to post-secondary education in British Columbia. Our association of ten public, post-secondary institutes prepare learners to not only meet the workforce demands of today, but support them with ongoing training and education for a lifetime of personal and career success.
Colin Ewart, President
Over thirty five years’ experience within the private & public sector in the UK and Canada. Trained as an educator, Colin has held leadership positions in recreation, telecommunications, government, and not-for-profit organizations.
As President of BC Colleges, his focus is on fostering collaboration, effective partner relations, and helping Colleges achieve learner and community success across British Columbia.
Colin enjoys time on the squash court or cycling around the country roads of the Saanich Peninsula.
Ken Armour, Senior Advisor, Policy and Communications
Ken has over 20 years in various senior management positions with the BC Government and the Government of Canada. His focus was in the areas of advanced education (working with the provincial ministry and with the Research Universities’ Council of BC), research and innovation (including working for BC’s first Innovation Commissioner, Dr. Alan Winter), Indigenous relations and reconciliation, and intergovernmental relations. Ken has a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts.
Ken lives in Esquimalt with his wife (a provincial public servant) and his cat (no fixed role) and enjoys running, hiking, cycling and travelling.

Stephanie DenOtter, Executive Assistant to the President
Stephanie is an administrative professional, and has spent her career supporting presidents, principals and educators in the public-school system. She is a strong believer in the value of applied education, and feels that when given the right support and encouragement, learning can happen for anyone.
When she’s not coordinating, scheduling or organizing, Stephanie can be found curling or enjoying other outdoor activities.
