Enactus students working to empower women in Penticton
Students from Enactus Okanagan College are empowering women in Penticton to gain important life skills in the areas of financial literacy and entrepreneurship with the support of a grant received from the Walmart foundation. The Walmart Women Economic Empowerment grant was awarded to Enactus Okanagan College after the student-run not-for-profit organization developed a proposal to initiate a new program in Penticton called MOMentum. The 12-week program was operated through the Birthright organization and aimed to teach mothers the basics of financial literacy as well as important business skills to prepare them and their families for financial success.
