Student Full Time Equivalents (FTEs) are used to measure student enrolment in public post-secondary institutions.
- A student taking a full-time course load counts as one FTE.
- A student taking a part-time course load counts as less than one FTE.
Student FTE targets represent an expected volume of service delivery. FTE targets are set for each post-secondary institution. The attachments to institutions' annual budget letters give details about FTE targets.
Enrolment reports from each public post-secondary institution are used to meet accountability framework measures specific to student Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs). FTE data are collected by the Ministry as part of the FTE reporting cycle.
